Leading Asia Myanmar International School is officially a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP)! This means the school is on its way to becoming a fully authorised PYP school. The entire process from a school first deciding to offer the PYP programme, applying for Candidacy and working towards full authorisation usually takes around 2 years. At LAMIS, we look forward to continuing this exciting journey as we feel inquiry and the programme’s concept driven curriculum will best prepare our students for a successful future in an ever-changing world.
As a community of life-long learners and educators, the PYP’s concept driven, inquiry-based approach provides students with the tools and strategies to become successful global citizens. Its focus is on developing balanced, knowledgeable and well-rounded students prepares them for the 22nd century.
Our PYP coordinator Martina Mulrooney said: “Alone we are smart. Together we can be brilliant! That is how I am sure our school is going to reach our common goal of becoming a PYP accredited school!"
